Transfer to hotel Day 03 - Chennai (Madras) - Mahabalipuram - Kanchipuram - Trichy Full day tour of Mahabalipuram and Kanchipuram. The former was the main port of Pallava dynasty & has exquisite rock-cut monuments, monolithic structures and bas reliefs. It is also a beach resort. Kanchipuram is famed for it's hand - woven cottons and kanjivaram silk. Evening transfer to railway station for Trichy night train. Day 04 - Trichy Morning arrive Trichy & transfer to hotel. Afternoon tour of Trichy visiting the ancient temples dedicated to Lord Ganapathi - 434 steps cut out into the rock side and interspersed with shrines, lead to the temple, yet another flight leads to the temple of Lord Shiva. The ascend is climaxed by magnificient view of the sacred Kaveri river. Visit Srirangam a massive temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu which contains within its walls a bazzar. Day 05 - Trichy - Tanjore - Madurai Morning drive to Madurai enroute visiting the famous 9th century Chola Temple Brihodeswara at Tanjore. Check in at hotel. Day 06 - Madurai  Morning

consort of Lord Shiva with its towering Gopurams (rising high above the surrounding
country side). Later visit the Tirumala Nayak Palace - a gracious building in

Afternoon free. Day 07 - Madurai - Periyar Morning drive to Periyar National Park Day 08 - Periyar - Cochin Morning drive to Cochin. Check in at hotel. Day 09 - Cochin Morning half day tour to visit the Dutch Palace, Jewish Synagogue , Chinese fishing nets, & St.Francis Church . Afternoon free.
